Why live on campus?

National studies have shown that college students who live in residence halls are:

  • more likely to stay in school
  • more likely to earn better grades
  • more likely to graduate
  • more satisfied with their college experience

Why? Well, there are so many great reasons:

Close to it all: When you live on campus, you are close to it all: classes, campus resources, college events, impromptu gatherings with friends, study groups, free food and more. The best part is you can walk to it all.

Part of a community: Living on campus makes it easy to meet new people and build a support system. When you live in the residence halls and eat in the dining hall, you鈥檒l find a community of friends is always nearby. Need a little extra support? Campus resources like tutoring, advising or counseling are a short walk away.

Getting Involved: A major part of campus life centers on college activities and getting involved. Students who live on campus are more aware of all the opportunities to join in the fun and meet people by being part of clubs and teams, attending events and athletic games, and of course just hanging out.

Less Hassle: The residence halls are set up for convenience. Not only are they close to classes, but they are furnished and all the costs are built in. No need to buy furniture. And, no need to pay for rent, utilities, internet, food and more each month. Plus, with the dining hall, you don鈥檛 have to worry about what to cook for each meal.
